ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 1 st respondent to appoint and conduct an enquiry on the petitioners appeal dated 30.04.2019 to any other officer, except the Revenue Divisional Officer, Erode / 3rd Respondent and consequently directing the appointing official to consider and pass orders on the petitioners appeal dated 30.04.2019. 2 It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Erode on 30.04.2019 seeking an appropriate order to measure and secure the house plot granted to the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he has no instruction as to whether the appeal has been disposed of or not. However, he would request that in case the appeal is yet to be disposed of, a direction may be issued to the 3 rd respondent to dispose of the appeal within a time framed fixed by this Court.

At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5 that the in case the appeal is yet to be disposed of, the same shall be disposed of within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
4. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to respondents, to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, if not disposed of yet, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, including rival claimants, if any, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
