ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file final report in Cr.No.238 of 2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the accused in this case was granted bail on condition that he shall give undertaking that he will refund the amount to the de facto in installments. Since the accused did not comply with the said undertaking, the bail petition in Crl.O.P.No.10597 of 2016 was dismissed by this Court on 16.09.2016 and the III Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai has also issued warrant of arrest to secure the accused.

4. In view of the above, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner. Taking into consideration the fact that the accused is still in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

abscondence, the respondent police is directed to take effective steps to secure the accused and complete the investigation expeditiously.

With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
