Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 1st respondent in D.O.No.129/2016, dated 17.02.2016 and set aside the same and produce the detenue Thiru Karthik @ Kolikarthik, aged about 24 years, who is detained in Central Prison at Puzhal, before this Court and set him liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu Karthik @ Koli Karthik, son of Ranganathan, aged about 24 years, has come forward with this petition, challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 17.02.2016 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamilnadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the order of detention passed by the third respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 17.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2329, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 19.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
