This miscellaneous petition has been filed to condone the delay of 88 days in filing the above appeal against the judgment dated 30.03.2022 in Spl.S.C.No.79 of 2020 pending on the file of the Mahila Court, Tiruppur. 2.The petitioner was convicted and sentenced for the offences under Sections 5(1), 5(j)(ii) r/w 6 of the POCSO Act and in addition to that, Rs.4,00,000/- was directed to be paid to the victim girl as compensation. Challenging the said judgment, the petitioner has filed the present petition to condone the delay of 88 days in filing the appeal.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.
4. Since the petitioner was found guilty for the offences under the POCSO Act, the petitioner is directed to deposit compensation of
Rs.4,00,000/- on or before 23.09.2022. On such deposit, the delay should be condoned, failing which, the petition shall be dismissed automatically without any further reference to this Court.
