O R D E R

Despite service the respondent does not appear either in person or through counsel duly instructed.

2. The husband seeks transfer of H.M.O.P.No. 212 of 2019 pending on the file of Family Court, Salem to the file of Family Court at Chennai. The reason assigned for transfer is that the husband, who is a medical Doctor by Profession, is unable to travel to Salem for every hearing. It is also stated that the wife, who had filed H.M.O.P.No. 460 of 2015 on the file of Family Court, Salem, had suddenly chosen to withdraw the same during the year 2020. It appears that complaints have also been lodged by the husband against the wife with Royapettah Police Station for attempting to trespass into his house.

3. Considering the above allegations made and the fact that the wife had chosen to withdraw the petition for divorce filed by her, after five years, I am of the opinion that the proceedings could be transferred to the Family Court at Chennai. 4.

Hence, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. H.M.O.P.No. 212 of 2019 is withdrawn from the file of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Family Court, Salem and transferred to the file of II Additional Family Court, Chennai. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
