ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. The writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to issue patta for the lands comprised in Natham S.No.186/3, Old S.No.349, situate at Manamthavizhnthaputhur, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District, based upon the petitioners representation dated 21.11.2022 and 09.06.2025.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the first petitioner has purchased the subject property comprised in Natham S.No.186/3, Old S.No.349, situate at Manamthavizhnthaputhur, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District, from one Muthulakshmi W/o. Thangavel during the year 1984. Since then, the subject property was under the joint possession of the petitioners herein. While so, due to UDR records mutation, the subject property was reclassified as Gali Natham. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners submitted representation to the second respondent dated 21.11.2022, seeking for an issuance of Patta. While so, the fourth respondent

has issued a notice calling upon the petitioners for an enquiry, as to enquire whether the subject land in their possession is a Sarkar Poramboke land or Natham land. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court. At the outset, it is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents that if the subject land is a Natham land, then the petitioners representation, seeking for issuance of Patta would be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent, to consider the representation dated 21.11.2022 and 09.06.

the date of uploading of web copy of the order without waiting for receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.

In the result, the writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
