Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the records relating to the detention made in Memo No.127/BCDFGISSSV/2016, dated 17.12.2016 passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce the detenue now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this court and set the petitioner's son Mahendran, S/o.Balu aged about 24 years, the detenue herein, at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu Mahendran, S/o.Balu, aged about 24 years, has come forward with this petition, challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 17.02.2016 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the detenu dated 17.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2321, Home Prohibition & Excise (X) Department, dated 19.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
