Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 15.06.2016 in relating to issuance of patta in the name of Pathi and temple which is situated in S.No.520/1 measuring an extent of 0.13 cents at Kurukkapatti, Iruppali Village, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2 The petitioner claims that the land in Survey No.520/1 belongs to Vedanaar Temple and Kaveri Ammal Temple, Annamalayar Temple situate at Kurukkapatti, Iruppali Village, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District. The petitioner would state that he is a resident of the house allotted in the said land and performing religious duties in respect of the said temple. The petitioner also claims that his son is also residing with him and got a Family Card and the petitioner is also having the Aadhar Card and the Voter Identity Card. The petitioner has approached the respondent in the form of representation dated 15.06.2016 for issuance of patta in the name of the temple and though it was received and acknowledged on 04.07.2016, no orders have been passed and hence, he came forward to file the present writ petition.

3 Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.06.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the person/s concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the person/s concerned.
