Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioners' property situated at Erukkanchery Village, Mondiamman Kovil Street, Soolpunalkari, Survey No.37/2, Door No.8 measuring an extent of 1280 sq.ft more fully described in the schedule to the petition by considering the second petitioner's application /representation dated 10.1.2019 was acknowledged on 5.2.2019.

ORDER
With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the third respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioners' property situated at Erukkanchery Village, Mondiamman Kovil Street, Soolpunalkari, Survey No.37/2, Door No.8 measuring an extent of 1280 sq.ft more fully described in the schedule to the petition by considering the second petitioner's application /representation dated 10.1.2019.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
4. The case of the petitioners is that originally the subject property has been assigned to one Mrs.S.Lakshmi and assignment patta has been issued to the 2/5
said Lakshmi on 20.05.1974. It is the further case of the petitioners, the said lakshmi executed a settlement deed in favour of the second petitioner and the second petitioner inturn executed a settlement deed in favour of the first petitioner. The grievance of the petitioners is that though the second petitioner has given an application for transfer of patta in his name, the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the second petitioner dated 10.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
