Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records in MemoNo.168/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 20.02.2016 on the file of the second respondent and quash the same asilletal and direct the respondent to produce the Detenu Sarathy @ ParthasarathyS/o. Gowreeshwaran, aged about 25 years, now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. The detenu has been branded as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed in No.B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V. No.168/2016 dated 20.02.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 20/02/2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2162, Home, Prohibition & Excise [X] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
