Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing to consider the representation dated 20.02.2022 directing the second respondent to take appropriate action to stop illegal constructions as well as evict the encroachments to retrieve the public temple lands (Shri Sengazhuneer Amman Temple) of an extent of 15 acres in Survey Numbers 1.47/1, 76/10, 80/7, 90/9, 176/2, 177/5, 181/2, 181/3, 190/9, 194/7, 231/7, 236/3, 238/2 coming within the jurisdiction of Periyakalapet Village, Puducherry and to stop the illegal construction in the public temple and restore the same to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments board based on the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2022 and pass suitable orders. ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.K.Anandhu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Ravee Kumar, learned Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.
2. Learned Government Pleader submits that survey is scheduled to be conducted up to 04.08.2023 in respect of the lands of Sengazhuneer Amman Devasthanam and other temples. After survey is conducted, the demarcation of the land would be carried out and if encroachment is found, necessary action would be undertaken.
3. In view of the aforesaid statement, no furthers are necessary. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
