This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to rectify the mistake in classifying the land measuring 1143 Sq.mtrs (281⁄2 cents) comprised in S. No.47/8A1, Abdullahpuram Village, Vembakkam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District as "Anaadeenam land" in the Revenue Records and issua patta for the said extent of land jointly in the names of the petitioners.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that their father Kumarasamy purchased an extent of 45 cents in S. No.47/8 of Abdullapuram Village, Vembakkam Taluk in Tiruvannamalai District on 15.02.1975 and originally in 'A' Register their father's name was found and the extent of land was shown as 441⁄2 cents. However, in natham settlement, the area has been reduced to 161⁄2 cents. Pursuant to the said reduction, now in the 'A' Register, the name of petitioners' father is also missing. Hence in this regard, the petitioners mother has given a Page 2/6
petition on 21.09.2019 to the respondents. Hence this writ petition for a direction to the respondents to consider her petition.
3. Learned senior counsel also pointed out that originally in the 'A' Register, petitioners' father name was found wherein the extent of land was shown as 441⁄2 cents. Thereafter, suddenly it has been reduced to 161⁄2 cents during natham settlement. Without any enquiry or notice in this regard, the extent originally recorded in the 'A' Register, has been reduced to 161⁄2 cents.

In such view of the matter, let the authorities consider the petition of the petitioner and pass orders after giving an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner and also for production of all the documents in this regard and dispose of the petition, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. During conclusion of enquiry, if further orders are required to be passed by the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai - 600 005, recommendation shall be forwarded to the Commissioner of Land Administration. On receipt of such recommendation, the Commissioner, shall pass an order within a period of four weeks thereafter. Page 3/6
