Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 26.02.2015 in Memo No. 202/BCDFGISSSV/2016 against the petitioner brother Santhanaraj, male aged 34 years s/o Stephenraj, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, who is the brother of the detenu Santhanaraj, S/o.Stephenraj, aged about 34 years, has come forward with this petition, challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 26.02.2016 against his brother branding him as a "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the detenu dated 26.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2220, Home Prohibition https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

& Excise (XIII) Department, dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
