ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file final report in Crime No.125 of 2013.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in Cr.No.125 of 2013 was completed and the case was closed as "mistake of fact".
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the counter filed by K.Karunanithi, Inspector of Police, Padlur Circle, Perambalur District, wherein paragraph no.6, stated as follows:- "6. It is submitted that, based on the statement of witnesses and personal visit of him to the occurrence place, the then Sub-Inspector of Police, referred this case as "Mistake of fact"vide RC.No.03/2013 dated 20.06.2013 and the same was duly served to the petitioner and the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
was also acknowledged the same. Thereafter the said RC.No.03/2013 filed before the Learned Judicial Magistrate, Perambalur District on 20.06.2013".
5. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
