ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that a case in Cr.No.1 of 2016 for the offences u/s 302 IPC has been registered by the respondent police and the investigation in progress. The police suspect the involvement of one Taufiq, who is said to be the brother of this petitioner and therefore, the police had called for enquiry.

4. Under such circumstances, this petitioner is directed to co-operate in the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused.

With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
