Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the petitioner's husband, namely, Shanmuga Sundaram, S/o.Iyyanar, Male, aged about 45 years, before this Court forthwith and to set him at liberty.

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, by the wife of the detenu, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to produce her husband, namely, Shanmuga Sundaram, aged about 45 years, before this Court, and to set him at liberty.
2. The petitioner is the wife of the detenu. She has stated that, on 10.02.2016, the detenu, who is her husband, had gone out to have dinner. However, he did not return home, thereafter. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent police, on 12.02.2016. The said complaint had been registered in Crime No.144 of 2016, as "Man Missing" case. petitioner has further stated that the detenu is a handicapped person and that the petitioner is living alone with her minor daughter, aged about 11 years, and since, no effective steps have been taken, by the 2nd respondent police, to trace the detenu, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition, before this Court.

Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents, had submitted, on instructions, that the detenu had collected a sum of Rs.7 Crores, from various persons, stating that he was running a Chit Fund Company, therefore, he has been absconding. He had further stated that the 2nd respondent is taking all necessary steps to trace the detenu and to take further steps in accordance with law.

In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. It is made clear that as and when the 2nd respondent receives any information about the whereabouts of the detenu, the same shall be furnished to the petitioner.
