The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal petition dated 22.04.2024 and grant assignment patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to land comprised in S.No.94/1A over an extent of 7890 sq.ft., in Kuduvanchery Village, Vandalur Taluk,

2. The petitioner approached the third respondent for issuance of patta and his request was rejected by the third respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 22.02.2024 and the same has not been considered so far.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader takes 2/5

notice for the respondents 1 to 4.

Though the petitioner seeks a positive direction to the second respondent to consider his appeal and grant assignment patta in his favour, in view of the fact that the appeal filed by the petitioner is pending before the second respondent, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 22.04.2024 and pass final orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
