Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the records relating to the detention order in Memo No.207/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 27.02.2016, passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce the petitioner's husband Khanna @ Sathish Kanna, son of Muniyandi aged about 30 years the detenu, now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set the petitioner's husband Khanna @ Sathish Khanna, son of Muniyandi, aged about 30 years the detenu herein at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu Khanna @ Sathish Khanna, son of Muniyandi, aged about 30 years, has come forward with this petition, challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 27.02.2016 against her husband branding him as a "Bootlegger" as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the detenu dated 27.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2221, Home, Prohibition & Excise (X) Department, dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
