Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the petitioner's husband detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 11.02.2016 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings BCDFGISSSV No.96/2016, quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's husband, namely, Duraisamy, son of Parthasarathy, aged 39 years before this Court and set him at liberty from detention, now her husband detained at Central Prison II, Puzhal, Chennai-600 006.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the wife of the detenu. The detenu has been branded as a ''Goonda'' under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in No.B.C.D.G.F.I.S.S.S.V. No.96/2016 dated 11.02.2016. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 11.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.1465, Home, Prohibition & Excise (X) Department, dated 05.04.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
