Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents herein from interfering or disturbing the petitioner herein to continue the Principal-in-Charge in the third respondent college as for as the UGC Regulation 2009 vide Letter No.F.No.1-1/09/(PS)/Pt.file III dt August-2009 and consequently to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner herein to work as a Principal-in-charge in Adhoc Capacity continuously till then specified period of the Regulation -2009. When the writ petition was taken up for hearing on 17.11.2017, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence, the matter was ordered to be posted on 20.11.2017 under the caption 'for dismissal'.

2.Today, even though, the matter is listed 'for dismissal', neither the petitioner nor his counsel is present to prosecute the matter. Hence the Writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
