Respondent Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records of the 1st respondent in Crime No.16 of 2016, dated 26.01.2016 and to direct the respondent police to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Manjula, aged 23 years, before this Court and to pass further orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstance of the case.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, by the mother of the detenue, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondent police to produce her daughter, namely, Manjula, aged about 23 years, before this Court, and to set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenue. She has stated that, her husband Arumugam, is an agricultural coolie. They have a daughter, by name, Manjula, the detenue herein, and a son, by name, Shanmugharaj. The detenue had done her Nursing course at M/s.Sankara Eye Hospital & College, at Saravanampatti. After completion of the Nursing course, she was working in the said hospital. While so, she had gone missing, on 11.01.2016. Therefore, the husband of the petitioner had given a complaint to the respondent police, on 15.01.2016, and the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

complaint was taken on file and given C.S.R.No.9 of 2016. Thereafter, the petitioner had preferred a complaint to the respondent police, on 26.01.2016, and the said complaint was registered as a "Woman Missing" case, in Crime No.16 of 2016. Since, no effective steps have been taken by the respondent police, to trace the detenue, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition, before this Court.

Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent, had submitted, on instructions, that the detenue, who is aged about 23 years of age, had eloped with one Kumaresan of Coimbatore. He had further submitted that the respondent police is taking all necessary steps to trace the detenue.

In view of the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the present Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
