This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.379 of 2016 on the file of Inspector of Police, Arcot Town Police Station, Vellore Dist. and file a final report before the jurisdictional Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that a case in Cr.No.379 of 2016 has been registered and is being investigated by the respondent police.

4. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a charge sheet or closure report as the case may be as expeditiously as possible.
