By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.Heard Mr.R.Y.George Williams, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kannan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

3.This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider and dispose the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2016. 4.The petitioner joined service as Conductor in the Metropolitan Transport Corporation on 05.02.1977 and promoted as Junior Checking Inspector on 14.12.1985 and retired from service on 28.02.2007. According to the petitioner, he made several representations to the respondent to pay the benefits and lastly, on 22.06.2016, requested the respondent to furnish the service record of him to prove his original salary given by them https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

but till date no orders have been passed and hence, the Writ Petition has been filed.

5.Mr.R.Y.George Williams, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if his representation is directed to be considered and appropriate orders are passed as expeditiously as possible. 6.Mr.A.Kannan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent has got no serious objection for directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law. 7.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
