Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the proceedings of the Second Respondent/RDO, Thiruchengode, Namakkal District, vide his proceedings Moo.Mu.4152/2018/C, dated 10.06.2019 and quash the same and consequently, direct the Second Respondent to constitute "The Festival Peace Committee consisting of Representatives from All Communities" in the light of the order of this Court in W.P. No. 6047 of 2019, dated 11.03.2019. For Petitioner :Mr. Vediyappan S.

O R D E R

Heard Mr. Vediyappan S., Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, Mr. J. Purushothaman, Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the First to Sixth Respondents, Mr. M. Maharaja, Learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) appearing for the Seventh to Ninth Respondents and Mr. N. Umapathi, Learned Counsel for the Eleventh Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the records pertaining to the proceedings of the Second Respondent, viz., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruchengode, Namakkal District, in proceedings No. Moo. Mu. 4152/2018/C dated 10.06.2019 and consequently direct the Second Respondent to constitute 'the Festival Peace Committee' consisting of representatives from all communities in the light of the order dated 11.03.2019 in W.P. No. 6047 of 2019 passed by this Court. 3.

This Court during the earlier hearing on 25.10.2019 has passed the following self-explanatory order:- "Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the First to Sixth Respondents submits that in pursuance of the order dated 11.02.2019 in W.P. No. 6047 of 2019 passed by this Court, a meeting of the Peace Committee was convened, but as a large number of 178 applications had been received, the Revenue Divisional Officer sent a report that it was not possible to form the Committee to conduct the annual festival.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that in the past, the Committee to conduct the annual festival had been formed by providing representation to people coming from different communities and that the same procedure could be followed by the Revenue Divisional Officer in the present case as well.

The Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchengode shall again re-consider the matter in the light of the modalities adopted in the past to form the Committee to conduct the annual festival and take a decision in the matter and report the outcome on the next hearing.

Post the matter on 05.11.2019."

In furtherance to the aforesaid order passed by this Court, the Second Respondent has passed the order No. Moo. Mu. 2928/2019/C

dated 30.10.2019 and a copy of the same has been produced. Nothing remains for further consideration in the matter. 4.

Recording the aforesaid subsequent events, the Writ Petition is disposed. If the Petitioner still has any grievance to be redressed, it is open to him to work out his remedy for necessary relief before the proper forum in the manner recognized by law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
