This petition is filed to condone the delay of 162 days in filing the above C.M.A against the judgment and decree dated 05.01.2022 and made in M.A.C.T.O.P.No.6204 of 2016 on the file of the Special Sub Judge I (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal), Chennai.

2.Since the first respondent remained ex parte before the Tribunal, notice to the first respondent is dispensed with.

3.Mr.P.Sankaranarayanan, the learned counsel entered appearance for the second respondent.

4.Having satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition stands allowed. 5.The Registry is directed to print the name of the learned counsel for the second respondent in the cause list when the matter is listed for admission, and number the above C.M.A.SR.No.96906 of 2023, if the papers are otherwise in order.

Anu 6.It is underscored that in the eventuality of the appellants succeeding in the appeal to be taken on record, he would not be entitled to any interest for 162 days.
