Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to implement the amended Rule 11-A and the condition 15-A in Form-I of the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in shops and bars) Rule, 2003, which was ordered in G.O.No.333, Prohibition and Excise, dated 30.09.2004, and not to supply or serve liquor to any person who has not completed 21 years of age, and to demand age proof by production of government authenticated documents in case of doubtful persons. (The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The petition filed by the petitioner has already been entertained by us, where the larger issue being examined is to how drinking habit can be discouraged in the society.

2. We may add that on a similar prayer W.P.No.7506 of 2013 was filed, which was closed on 05.10.2015.

3. We, thus, close the present writ petition, leaving the parties to bear their own costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
