This original petition has been filed taking advantage of Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 seeking Succession Certificate with respect to the securities in the name of the Suresh Jayakumar Ignatius, who died on 21.12.2011. The shares held by him had been mentioned in the schedule to the petition. The 1st petitioner is his wife and the 2nd and 3rd petitioners are his daughter and son.

2.Paper publication had been effected. The 1st petitioner was examined herself as PW-1. The death certificate of her husband was marked as Ex.P1. The legal heirship certificate was marked as Ex.P9. The details of the share certificate was marked as Ex.P2. The consent affidavits of the 2nd and 3rd petitioners were marked as Exs.P5 and P6.

3.In view of the evidence adduced, this Original Petition stands allowed. The Succession Certificate is to be issued in the name of the 1st petitioner, Vasanthi Suresh.
