Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner as Motor Vehicles Grade-I with effect from 20.08.2013 consequently to consider the name of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Regional Transport Officer by including the name of the petitioner in the panel above his immediate junior R.Manickam with all consequential service and monetary benefits.

Considering the limited relief sought for in the petition, without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation 03.07.2024 made by the petitioners and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
