..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from in any manner interfering with the affairs of the petitioner's club, viz., Sri Venkateswaran Recreation Club Anthiyur, 11/92-3rd Ward, Kandhampalayam, Annadaduvu, Pachampalayam Post, Anthiyur Taluk, Erode - 638 501, its members including the 1/4

facilities provided for playing various games including the game of playing rummy not involving any element of gambling.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to forbear the respondent police from interfering with the affairs of the club that is run by the petitioner. 2.When the matter came up for hearing on 01.08.2023, this Court passed the following order:

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor took notice on behalf of the respondents. On Instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that an inspection was conducted and it was found that no club was running in the address that has been given by the petitioner. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks some time to take instructions in this regard.

3.Post this case next week.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.M.Sebastian, Special Sub-Inspector, Anthiyur Police Station, Erode District was present and he stated that he along with the Inspector of Police went to the spot and physically verified and found that there was no club running in that place and there was no building structure.

4.In view of the specific stand taken by the respondent police, their interference in running of the recreation club will not arise. 5.This writ petition is disposed of by recording the specific stand taken by the respondent police. No Costs.
