O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 4th respondent to restore the patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of lands in S.No.198/1 in Kadavambakkam Village, Villupuram District.

2. According to the petitioner, he purchased the above said land from one Muthammal and others represented by power agent viz., V.Kannappan under sale deed dated 18.04.2007, after purchase, the patta for the above mentioned property was changed into the name of the petitioner by order passed by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District dated 30.05.2024.

3. Thereafter on verification of revenue records the petitioner acquired knowledge about restoration of patta to the name of the original patta holders viz., Veerasamy and Balakrishnan.

4. It is asserted by the petitioner that the transfer of patta in the 2/4

name of Veerasamy and Balakrishnan was effected without notice to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to restore the patta in his name again. It is seen from the typed set of papers after acquiring knowledge about the change in the revenue records, the petitioner has not approached the respondents for restoration of patta and straightaway the petitioner has come before this Court seeking restoration of patta. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any positive direction as prayed for. However, it is open to the petitioner to approach the 3rd respondent seeking restoration of patta in his name. Any representation made by the petitioner shall be considered by the 3rd respondent, after issuing notice to the petitioner and all the parties within eight weeks of such application..

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 13.08.2024 Index : Yes/No Speaking order:Yes/No ub S.SOUNTHAR, J.
