ORDER

The contempt petition has been filed complaining willful disobedience of the Order passed by this Court in W.M.P.No. 33963 of 2024 in W.P.No. 1137 of 2024, dated 28.01.2025

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that now we are in December 2025. If the writ petitioner is entitled to the last drawn wages 1/3

from the month of January 2024, then the respondent should have paid 24 months last drawn wages, whereas only 23 months last drawn wages have been paid. However, it can be seen that after paying the arrears up to October 2025, the respondent has subsequently paid in the months of November and December, 2025.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent submits that they will continue to pay.

4. It must be seen that from January 2024 upto December 2025, if it is 24 months, the 24th month pay will be received only in January 2026 and therefore, I do not see any error on the part of the respondent.

5. In view thereof, with the observation that the respondent shall continue to pay the 17B wages so long as the order is in force, the contempt petition stands closed. No costs.
