Petition to quash the First Information Report registered by the respondent police during the election campaign in a bye election in Sankarankovil M.L.A. Constituency.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that, after investigation, respondent police has closed the complaint as "Mistake Of Fact" in R.C.S. No.28 of 2012 dated 16.10.2012.

3. In view of the above facts, nothing survives in the quash petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
