Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entirel records leading to the detention of Husband Abbas Ali son of Kambar Ali Jafree, male aged about 25 years is presently lodged in Central Prison Puzhal at Chennai and has been detained under Act 14/82 as a "Goonda" vide detention order dated 04.03.16 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein, made in Memo No.245/BCDFGISSSV/2016 and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai. ORDER

The petitioner is the wife of the detenu. The detenu has been branded as a S.NAGAMUTHU, J., AND V.BHARATHIDASAN, J., kua "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed in Memo No.245/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 04.03.2016. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 04.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2228, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
