The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 11.07.2022 for the offence punishable under Section 394 of IPC in Crime No.284 of 2022, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 13.06.2022 at about 02.30.a.m., the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto compalainant and robbed his mobile phone worth about Rs.18,000/-. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and a false case has been lodged against the petitioner. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that, apart from this case, there are six previous cases pending against the petitioner. However, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner having six previous cases pending against the petitioner and also considering the gravity of the offence committed which is serious and heinous against the society, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
