This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to pay the subsistence allowance to the petitioner in line with Section 3(1)(4) of the Tamil Nadu Payment of Subsistence Allowance Act, 1981 based on the representation made by the petitioner on 22.04.2024. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent submitted that written instructions have been received from the 2nd respondent. On going through the same, it is seen that the 2nd respondent has already taken a decision on the request made by the petitioner.

3.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to convey the decision to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
