ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J,] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to produce the detenue, namely, Malliga, aged about 17 years, before this Court and to hand over her custody to him.

The petitioner has stated that his daughter, namely, Malliga, aged about 17 years, was studying in 12th standard in St.Joseph Higher Secondary School, at Sesurajapuram, Krishnagiri District. While so, she had gone missing, from 21.02.2016. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent police. registered by the 2nd respondent police, in Crl.No.26/2016 as a "girl missing" case. Since the 2nd respondent has not taken effective steps to trace the detenue, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition before this Court. Today, when the matter had been listed for hearing, in the special list, the detenue had been produced by the 2nd respondent police, before this Court. The parents of the detenue, namely, the petitioner and his wife, are also present. On enquiry, the detenue Malliga had stated that she had gone away to work, at Tiruppur, as she was not interested in studying. However, she had stated that she would like to go with her parents to continue her studies. In view of the said submission made by the detenue, we find that no further orders are necessary in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. We permit the detenue to go along with her parents as per her wish.

The Habeas corpus petition stands closed with the above direction.
