(Order of the court was made by R.Mahadevan, J.) This miscellaneous petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking to condone the delay of 512 days in filing the above writ appeal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and perused the affidavits filed in support of this petition, wherein, it has been stated that the writ petition was disposed of on 01.02.2022 and the copy of the order was received by the petitioners on 17.03.2022. On receipt of the same, it was forwarded to the higher Officials for taking decision to file an appeal and to get administrative sanction and approval. In the said process, there is a delay of 512 days occurred in filing the appeal, which is neither wilful nor wanton and therefore, the same may be condoned.

3. There is no representation for the first respondent. Despite service of notice to the second respondent and his name having been printed in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of him.

4. Having regard to the reasons stated by the petitioners, which appear to be bona fide, considering the huge delay in filing the writ appeal, we are inclined to condone the delay subject to payment of costs of Rs.1,000/- by the petitioners to the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court, Madras, within a week's time from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. Upon production of receipt for payment of costs, this civil miscellaneous petition stands ordered.
