Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to change patta in the petitioner and his wife P.V.Selvi's name based upon the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2016.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner would state that he and his wife, namely, Selvi, had purchased a landed property admeasuring to an extent of 3.25 acres in S.Nos.769, 770 & 771/1 [Old Survey Nos.886, 887 & 884A], Bhavani Village at Bhavani, Erode District. Subsequently, the brother of their vendor had filed a suit in OS.No.181/2010 on the file of the Court of 4th Additional District Judge, Bhavani, for partition and other consequential reliefs. The petitioner and his wife had also filed another suit in OS.No.9/2015 on the file the very same Court for partition and matter was settled through Lok Adalat. Thereafter, the petitioner along with his wife submitted an application on 01.09.2015 for transfer of patta in respect of the lands in SF.No.770/2, 762/2,3 and 769/1 in TS.No.28 and 29, Bhavani, followed by a representation dated 16.07.2016 and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner has come forward to file the present writ petition.
Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

Though the petitioner had prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 01.09.2015 as well as the representation dated 16.07.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the person/s concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the person/s concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
