Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the 1/5

representation dated 24.06.2024 also the recommendation made by the 4th respondent in f.vz;.$p.1/5008/2018, dated 15.11.2018 for cancellation and issuance of patta in petitioner's favour.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider her representation dated 24.06.2024 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the fifth respondent.

2. According to the petitioner, the property situated in S.Nos.26/3 and 26/4 was originally belonged to her mother namely, Chinnathaiammal. The portion of the above mentioned property was gifted to the fifth respondent by the mother of the petitioner by gift deed dated 20.07.1978 and the remaining property with an extent of 0.41 cents in S.No.26/3 and 0.23 1⁄2 cent in S.No.26/4 was given to the petitioner under gift deed dated 01.06.2006. The revenue officials without considering the interest of the petitioner in the above 2/5

mentioned property wrongly issued patta in the name of the fifth respondent in Patta No.945 and 802 mentioning more than the actual extent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 24.06.2024 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the fifth respondent and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.06.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the fifth respondent.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
