Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue an appointment order to the petitioner for the post of trained Graduate Teacher in Computer Science subject in any of the Government High Schools in Tamil Nadu within a stipulated time.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to issue an order of appointment to the petitioner for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher in Computer Science subject in any of the Government High Schools in Tamil Nadu.

2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner has participated in the process of selection and got selected, however, no appointment order has been issued.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents states that the reason assigned for non-issuance of the appointment order is that the subject of Computer Science has not been prescribed in the syllabus in respect of the Classes 1 to 8. Thus, the writ petitioner cannot be appointed.

4. The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that since the petitioner was allowed to participate in the process of selection and got selected, now, the respondents cannot assign such reason.

5. However, the petitioner is at liberty to send a fresh representation to the second respondent, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of any such representation from the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the same in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar mk To 1.
