O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was elected as President of the Kallappampadi Panchayat on 13.10.2006 and he was removed from the said post, as he was convicted by the Criminal Court. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner had the benefit of interim order and continued in the said post. As the tenure of Panchayat President is only 5 years, and as his tenure ended on 2011, nothing survives in the writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
