Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records connected with the order of the 2nd respondent herein made in Memo No.1248/BCDFGISSSV/2015 dated 15.12.2015 against the detenu namely Anand, Son of Periyasamy aged about 36 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, and set aside the same. Consequently, directing the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the father-in-law of the detenu, Anand, Son of Periyasamy, aged about 36 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 15.12.2015 against his son-in-law branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son-in-law of the petitioner dated 15.12.2015 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.575, dated 12.02.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
