The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.06.2024 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 420, 506(i) of IPC and Section 66-E of I.T.Act, in Crime No.40 of 2024, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.
2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person, aged about 26 years, has been falsely implicated in this case, as if the petitioner threatened the defacto complainant's daughter that the petitioner had uploaded the pictures which was taken during their love affair, whereas he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is in custody from 22.06.2024, and he is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the defacto complainant's daughter studies 2nd year degree in a private college and had a love affair with this petitioner. On the date of incident, the defacto complainant's daughter stated that she was going to T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

Crl.O.P.No.18302 of 2024 drl commit suicide and based on which, the defacto complainant went to her daughter's college and enquired about the petitioner, and subsequently found out that this petitioner was having love affair with many other girls. Therefore, the victim refused to continue the relationship with the petitioner. Based on which, the petitioner threatened the victim by saying that he would post private photos on social media and spoil her life. He further submitted that the petitioner has one previous case, pending against him, and further, investigation is still pending. However, he vehemently opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also considering the grave nature of offence and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
