O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of his Appeal in Na.Ka.No.38399/2019/AA4, dated 26.05.2022.

2. According to the petitioner, challenging the issue of patta in the name of one Neelavathiammal in Patta No.112 pertains to land in S.No.148/2A with an extent of 0.16.50 ares in Navalur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, the petitioner filed an appeal before the 2nd respondent and the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the Competent Authority to entertain the appeal filed by the petitioner is the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpattu District and the appeal filed by the petitioner before the District Revenue Officer is not maintainable. 2/4

In view of the stand taken by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, the 2nd respondent is directed to forward the Appeal in Na.Ka.No.38399/2019/AA4, dated 26.05.2022 presented by the petitioner to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpattu District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer shall consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a further of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of appeal papers by him.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
