Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 21.03.2016 in BCDFGISSSV No.335/2016 against the petitioner's husband the detenue herein, now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue Thiru. Desing @ Desi, s/o Nagarajan, aged about 38 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the wife of the detenu. The detenu has been branded as a

S.NAGAMUTHU, J., AND V.BHARATHIDASAN, J., kua "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under the order of the 2nd respondent passed in Memo No.335/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 21.03.2016. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 21.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2191, Home, Prohibition & Excise [X] Department dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
