ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the representation dated 11.03.2025, seeking mutation of patta in respect of the property bearing Survey No.5/4, measuring an extent of 0.32 cents of land, situated at Srimathur Village, Kunnam Taluk,

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the property comprised in Survey No.5/4, measuring an extent of 0.32 cents of land, situated at Srimathur Village, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District, from one Arumugam vide Sale Deed registered as Doc.No.700/1989, dated 02.05.1989, registered on the file of Sub Registrar Valikandapuram, Perambalur District. Thereafter, petitioner made representations on 19.06.2023 and 11.03.2025, before the respondents seeking to mutate the patta in petitioner's name in respect of the above said property. However, the same is kept pending. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

When this was pointed out, the learned Government Advocate would submit that petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2025 seeking mutation of patta in petitioner's name would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2025, seeking mutation of patta in petitioner's name and pass appropriate orders within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy, after affording the petitioner and any other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
