Mr.V.Veluchamy, learned Additional Government Pleader takes for the respondent. With the consent of both the parties the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage, itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing respondent to dispose of the petitioner's online application dated 25.02.2021, wherein and whereby, the petitioner sought for sub-division of the property situated at Perumbakkam Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District comprised in Survey Nos.487/1, 497/2A in Patta No.522 and Survey No.489/1A in Patta No.760 admeasuring 51.50 hectares, 35.50 hectares and 59.00 hectares respectively.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondent to sub-divide the subject property by considering the petitioner's online application.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider Pg.Nos.2/5
the petitioner's online application and pass orders on merits in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to dispose of the online application of the petitioner dated 25.02.2021, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, rival claimants and/or adjacent owners, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
