Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents police to produce the body of the detenu, namely, Anthony Paul Raj, son of Aasirvatham, aged about 35 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to produce the son of the petitioner, namely, Anthony Paul Raj, aged about

35 years, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2.

The petitioner had stated that his son, namely, Anthony Paul Raj is married and he had got two kids, namely, A.Kelvin and A.Macmillan. A criminal case on the file of the 2nd respondent is pending against the detenu, in Crime No.628 of 2015. He was reporting before the 2nd respondent police, daily. However, he had gone missing from 30.06.2015. Therefore, the petitioner had preferred a complaint before the 3rd respondent. Since no effective steps have been taken by the respondents, to trace the detenu, the petitioner had preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

At the stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents, had submitted that all necessary steps have been taken by the respondent police to trace the detenue.

In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
