Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent in No.294/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 14.03.2016 against the detenu P.Ranjith Kumar, Son of Palayam, male aged about 29 years, who is now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu P.Ranjith Kumar before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.Nagamuthu, J.] Challenge is made to the order of detention passed by the second respondent vide Proceedings in No.294/BCDFGISSSV/2016 dated 14.03.2016 whereby the detenu, namely Mr.P.Ranjith Kumar, S/o.M.Palayam, aged about 29 years, was ordered to be detained under the provisions of Section 3(1) of the Tamil Nadu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982) as a "GOONDA".

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 14.03.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2238, dated 18.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3.
