This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 01.07.2024 passed by the fifth respondent, thereby rejecting the request made by the petitioner for change of patta in respect of properties comprised 2/5
in Survey Nos.681/1, 690/4 and 690/2, situated at Ramanaicken Palayam Village, Atthur Taluk, Salem District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first to fifth respondent and perused the materials placed on record.
3. It is seen from the records that even before filing this Writ Petition, the petitioner had filed an appeal against the fifth respondent before the third respondent, and it is still pending.
4. In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the sixth to eighth respondents and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. 3/5
